Can love find its way even when life seems to have already said its piece? Chronicle of Rural Love – Rugantino Theatre As part of the 6th Bembo Fest, "Chronicle of a Country Love", a comedy by Rugantino Theatre author Ivan Vidić and directed by Dario Harjaček, is coming to Bale. Through humor and recognizable life situations, the play talks about loneliness, the need for closeness and new beginnings. The main character Milivoj, a sixty-year-old who, after numerous disappointments, found peace in the countryside, says: "The city is hell, it is dangerous and dirty and I have never been related to it, because I am a child of the countryside." Together with his neighbor Ljubica, he runs an egg business, but their neighborly and business relationship is far from harmonious. Milivoj is a stubborn idealist who has difficulty navigating everyday life, while Ljubica is a strong woman with great life experience and a former first runner-up in a beauty pageant. Through their arguments, humor and gradual rapprochement, the story of two people develops who, despite everything they have been through, discover that it is never too late for trust and love.
