Subotina – Buzet's centuries-old folk festival on the Feast of the Small Lady. A frittata with truffles made from 2,025 eggs in a 2.5-metre pan is just part of the all-day celebrations. The streets of Buzet Old Town transform into a stage of the past: participants dress in authentic folk costumes from the turn of the 19th to 20th century, while artisan lanes bring back carpenters, coopers, shoemakers, tailors, weavers, oil-pressers and other masters of old crafts. Set to the sounds of traditional Istrian music and the irresistible aromas of local culinary delights, Subotina is a unique journey back in time.
