Visualia Comes to Brijuni for the First Time

Light will tell the story of the island. In a unique blend of history, art and modern technology, visitors will have the chance to experience the story of Brijuni in a different way. The projection will use light and visual effects to tell the island's story, from the arrival of Paul Kupelwieser and his visionary development of Brijuni, all the way to the present day. A special location was chosen for this story — the Boathouse, whose architecture will become an integral part of the visual experience itself. Instead of a classic flat projection surface, the very shape of the Boathouse will be used as part of the artistic narrative, creating a blend of history, architecture and modern technology. As part of the programme, visitors will be able to experience Brijuni through a specially designed guided walking tour dedicated to the island's history, followed by a visit to the Boathouse Museum and the visual projection. Programme, 5 September 2026: - 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM – boat departure to Brijuni - 7:15 PM – start of the guided tour from Friendship Square (Veliki Brijun harbour) - 8:15 PM – end of the guided tour and visit to the Boathouse Museum - 8:45 PM – start of the Visualia projection at the Boathouse - 9:00 PM – boat return from Brijuni The programme costs €15 per person, including the return boat ticket, guided walking tour, visit to the Boathouse Museum and the Visualia projection. Tickets are purchased on the day of the screening from 4:00 PM at the NP Brijuni office – ticket booth in Fažana, Brionska 10. Note: Flat, comfortable shoes are recommended for walking on the island.
