IRWIN: Photographic Work – Exhibition at Piran City Gallery

The exhibition "IRWIN: Photographic Work" opens on Friday, 6 November 2026 at 6:00 PM at Piran City Gallery and runs until 11 April 2027. It presents a selection of photographs created over four decades of activity by one of the most important Slovenian art collectives on the international contemporary art scene. The photographs appear both as documents of artistic interventions, performances and temporary installations and as independent works of art. The exhibition reveals how IRWIN uses photography as a means of documentation, transformation and conceptual reflection within broader symbolic and political contexts, and invites visitors to consider how the meanings of images change, are redistributed and continually reinterpreted. Curator: Hana Čeferin. Developed in collaboration with MGML – Museum and Galleries of Ljubljana, the City Museum of Ljubljana and the Projekt Atol Institute. When: opening 6 November 2026 at 6:00 PM; exhibition until 11 April 2027 Where: Piran City Gallery Organiser: Piran Coastal Galleries
