Pluartis Symposium 2026: Philosophical Arena

Pula becomes an arena of philosophical dialogue! From August 20 to 22, 2026, Juraj Dobrila University of Pula will host the international philosophy symposium "Philosophical Arena", organised in cooperation with Pluartis. Under the central theme "Architecture of the Soul", the symposium connects ancient philosophical thought with the challenges of the contemporary world. Focus areas: – ethics and human action – artificial intelligence and its impact on the individual and society – the relevance of ancient philosophy in the 21st century The keynote speaker is Prof. Angie Hobbs, a renowned British expert on ancient philosophy, who will explore questions relevant to today's society through the thought of Plato and Marcus Aurelius.
