Fažana Traditional Boats Regatta

The Fažana Traditional Boats Regatta is a unique sailing and rowing competition that revives the tradition of fishermen and sailors of the Istrian waters using old, handcrafted wooden boats. Batane, gajete, leuti and other types of traditional Istrian vessels compete in a friendly race against a backdrop of music, food and the home harbour as a stage. The regatta is an opportunity to learn about Istria's rich maritime heritage and the fine traditional craft of boat building.
