Book Presentation: Dražen Nenadić – "Amerika, klinci i tanki živci"

What happens when a wife receives a Fulbright scholarship in America and dad goes on parental leave? Suitcases get packed. Three young children. One big American adventure. And dad's parental leave, which includes diapers, feeding, cooking, putting kids to sleep, cleaning… and trying to stay sane. As part of the "Growing Together" programme for children and parents at the Children and Youth Department of the Central Library, on Friday, October 2nd, 2026, we will host Dražen Nenadić, author of the book "Amerika, klinci i tanki živci" (America, Kids and Frayed Nerves). The book presentation and conversation with the author begins at 6 PM, while at the same time a "Let's Read Together" workshop will be held for preschool-age children whose parents are attending the presentation. The book "Amerika, klinci i tanki živci" was published in March this year by the publishing house Iris Illyrica. It is a biographical prose work that speaks in a witty and honest way about parenthood and parental leave from a male perspective.
