Book promotion: "I am Mary"

We invite you to the presentation of the book "I am Marija" by Marija Patljak Bilić, which will be held on Friday, July 31st at 7 pm at Trg Tomaso Bembo in Bale. In her first book, Marija Patljak Bilić speaks honestly about facing a breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, family and finding strength in moments when it seemed that there was none. Through her personal confession, a story was created about courage, love, perseverance and the importance of the support we find in the people around us. Marija is a Bale native who is known by many as a long-time humanitarian and activist. After her own battle with the disease, she decided to turn her experience into helping others and has been working for years to raise awareness about the importance of breast cancer prevention and providing support to women going through similar life experiences. The book promotion is an opportunity to meet the author and talk about the creation of the book, but also about how even in the most difficult moments of life, strength, hope and a reason to move forward can be found. Admission is free.
