🎬 WORLD DAY FOR AUDIOVISUAL HERITAGE – PAZIN Two film classics at Magnus Cinema Pazin Centre for Culture and Education celebrates World Day for Audiovisual Heritage! This year, as many as 38 cinemas across Croatia are taking part in the celebration. The programme honours two important anniversaries: the 100th anniversary of the birth of Nikola Tanhofer, one of Croatia’s most significant filmmakers, and the 50th anniversary of the beloved children’s classic Train in the Snow. To mark the occasion, Magnus Cinema in Pazin presents two special screenings – a wonderful opportunity to discover these classics for the first time or enjoy them once again on the big screen. 🎞️❤️ 🎞️ THURSDAY, 22 October at 7:00 PM – H-8… (1958) Directed by Nikola Tanhofer, this acclaimed Croatian film was inspired by a real traffic accident on the Zagreb–Belgrade road. Through the stories of a bus’s passengers and a truck driver, the film unfolds into a gripping tale of human character, coincidence and fate. It received numerous awards, including the Grand Golden Arena in Pula. 🏆 📍 Location: Magnus, Pazin 🎟️ Admission to both screenings is free! By preserving our film heritage, we protect much more than films. We preserve stories, memories and a part of our cultural identity that connects generations. ❤️ See you at Magnus! The programme celebrating World Day for Audiovisual Heritage is organised in partnership with the Croatian Cinema Network, the Croatian State Archives / Croatian Cinematheque and Kinoholik, with financial support from the Kultura Nova Foundation and the Croatian Audiovisual Centre. All materials used in the programme are archival materials from the collection of the Croatian State Archives.
