Stilt Walkers

The Hoopsters don't come quietly and don't go unnoticed. High above passers-by, on stilts and in playful costumes, they move through town with their own musical accompaniment, as if briefly lost among us from some other, more joyful world. They don't stick to a stage or a predetermined space. Their performance unfolds on the move, out of encounters with people, glances, dance, photos and small improvised situations that happen along the way. Someone will just watch them, someone will wave, and someone might, without much persuading, end up in the middle of their dance. Performed by Martinius cirkus (Croatia), part of the 26th Street Art Poreč festival.
