GREMO NA MAKINU! – 150 Years of Istrian Railways

Exhibition opening, in cooperation with the Historical and Maritime Museum of Istria and the Croatian Railway Museum, marking a century and a half of railway history in Istria. The exhibition presents a historical overview of the planning, construction and development of the railway in Istria and its impact on society, economy and space. Numerous original items from the Istrian railways can be seen – from technical documentation, drawings and timetables to signalling equipment, vehicles and models, as well as railway uniforms and other equipment, much of which will be shown to the public for the first time. The exhibition covers the history of the existing railway network (Divača–Pula, Lupoglav–Raša), as well as lines that no longer exist – such as the one from Kanfanar to Rovinj and the narrow-gauge Parenzana from Trieste to Poreč – and for the first time presents data on planned routes through Učka.
