Saša Ceci: “12 Lessons We Failed to Learn”

“12 Lessons We Failed to Learn” is the title of a lecture by Dr. Saša Ceci on 28 October 2026 at 6 PM at the University Library in Pula. The lecture is part of the Green Library project and is organised by the Istrian Library Association and the University Library of the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula. Each of us has things we consider absolutely true, scientifically proven, or at least morally unquestionable. Yet, despite our best intentions and the knowledge gained through education and experience, we sometimes make the wrong decisions. Saša Ceci will talk about 12 such situations – lessons we could and should have learned before we needed them. The best outcome is to learn them in time; the second best is to learn from our own mistakes; and the third-best time is right now – before we need them again. Saša Ceci is a scientist, science communicator and author of the Blesimetar series, known for his public engagement against pseudoscience and misinformation. His lectures combine scientific reasoning, social responsibility and humour.
