Gershwin’s Genius – from Broadway to Rhapsody in Blue (TEJO)

The Trieste Early Jazz Orchestra (TEJO), founded by Livio Laurenti and led by Tomislav Hmeljak, brings together excellent musicians from Trieste and the surrounding area, known on the international jazz scene as well. The concert in the Large Hall presents a selection of the most beautiful works by the famous George Gershwin (1898–1937). In the first half, singer Paolo Venier lends his voice to songs from musicals; in the second half, Rhapsody in Blue is performed in its original 1924 arrangement. The soloist is Giulio Scaramella, a young, multiple-award-winning pianist from Gorizia. The concert opens with the Jazz Band of the Piran Music School, also under Hmeljak. In cooperation with the Friends of Music Society. 📅 Saturday, 10 October 2026, 8:00 PM 📍 Libertas, Large Hall, Koper 🎟️ Ticket: €11
