Heart Days in Opatija – "Running for the Heart" Race 2026

Opatija runs for the heart again! Join us on Saturday, 26 September 2026, for the fifth edition of the "Running for the Heart" race, held as part of Heart Days in Opatija 2026. We invite everyone – runners, recreational athletes, families and lovers of active living – to spend a morning full of sport, togetherness and care for health. Choose your route: - Running for the Heart 10 km (2 × 5 km) - Running/Walking for the Heart 5 km Entry fee includes: a finisher medal, a start number with chip, a t-shirt (for registrations by 11 September 2026), refreshments during the race, prizes for the top three in the men's and women's categories. Dogs are welcome with responsible owner behaviour. Registration is open until 18 September 2026 or until the quota is filled. Notice for residents: Due to the race, the road through Opatija will be closed on 26 September from 9:30 to 11:30 AM. Emergency medical services will be on standby during the event.
