St Martin’s Run Sečovlje 2026

Join us for a recreational running day combining sport, socialising and the Istrian St Martin’s tradition. The route leads through the picturesque surroundings of Sečovlje, the Sečovlje Valley and the Lonzan Valley, passing fields, plantations and vineyards. Most of the route is flat, making it suitable both for competitive runners and for everyone who wants to experience St Martin’s Day in a more active way. Choose between 6 km, 12 km or a 2 × 6 km relay. For the youngest participants, there will also be a free Mini St Martin’s Run with distances from 200 to 1,000 metres. PROGRAMME – 14 NOVEMBER 11:00 AM–1:30 PM – collection of race numbers and registration in front of the Sečovlje Local Community building 1:00 PM – Mini St Martin’s Run 2:30 PM – St Martin’s Run – 6 km, 12 km and relay 4:30 PM – awards ceremony The start and finish of the main race are in front of the Sečovlje Local Community building. The route is circular: runners in the 6 km race complete one lap, runners in the 12 km race complete two laps, while each relay team member runs 6 km. REGISTRATION FEES: until 30 September €20 for 6/12 km or €36 for the relay; until 31 October €25 or €44; from 1 November until race day €30 or €50. Registration and payment via Protime.si. Participation in the main race is limited to 300 runners, the Mini St Martin’s Run to 150 children (free, advance registration required). The day does not end after the race – St Martin’s Run is part of the St Martin’s celebration in Sečovlje: local wines and cuisine, a children’s programme and live music in the evening.
