Mountaineering Festival 2026 – Osp

Have you already booked the first weekend of October? That’s when the traditional 4th Slovenian National Mountaineering Festival will take place! 📍 Friday and Saturday, 2–3 October 2026, in Osp, outdoors. In case of bad weather, the festival will be postponed to the alternative date of 16–17 October. 💶 The Mountaineering Festival is FREE for all participants. This year the festival kicks off on Friday with a screening of the film Pot odrešitve (Rožle Bregar). On Saturday, the programme continues with workshops and a licensing seminar for AI instructors, mountaineering equipment vendors, safety activities and climbing for children, an awards ceremony, a lecture by a top-level mountaineer, socialising with fellow climbers and members of mountaineering clubs, and an evening party with a live band! Longer workshops and lectures (2.5 hours): how to perform manoeuvres with less equipment (Jure Niedrofer), overcoming the fear of falling in sport climbing (Polona Juričinec Česen), OSP Project (Jurij Ravnik), climbing technique (Vili Guček), testing the quality of removable protection (Matic Košir, Igor Krevelj), ice climbing training (Klemen Premrl) and more.
