World Record Attempt in Prosciutto Slicing — ISAP 2026, Tinjan

As part of the International Prosciutto Fair – ISAP 2026 in Tinjan, a major world record attempt takes place in the category "Largest number of people slicing meat". The goal is to gather as many as 300 prosciutto slicers and beat the current world record of 205 participants, set in 2018 in Torrijos, Spain. You don't have to be a professional slicer – just experience and knowledge of proper prosciutto slicing is needed. The task is simple but challenging: in just 2 minutes, at least 5 slices of prosciutto, 0.5–1.5 mm thick, must be cut. 300 people. 2 minutes. 1 world record. Participation is free, and spots are limited to 300 participants! Mandatory dress rehearsal: 15 October 2026 at 6:00 PM. Participants can expect: an Official Attempt Medallion, a commemorative apron, and — if the record is successfully broken — a personalized official certificate with their name.
