58. Bumbarska fešta

Saturday, August 8, when all roads lead to Vodnjan for the 58th Bumbar Festival. In the morning, at 8:00, the bocce tournament at the San Rocco bocce court and the pljočkar tournament at the Fair will begin, and at 9:30 a.m. the basketball tournament will follow in the Vodnjan Elementary School Sports Hall. The volleyball tournament will start in the same hall at 12:00. From 10:00 a.m., the Vodnjan City Brass Band and the Vodnjan Italian Association will perform at the National Square, and at 2:00 p.m. the 19th Croatian Coldblood Exhibition will open at the Fair. Bumbarlandia is the name of the children's corner in the City Park, where programs for children will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The evening program of the Bumblebee Festival begins at 19:00 with the Trkom na tovarima through Trgovačka Street, with the start and finish at Narodni trg. The parade of allegorical carts begins at 20:00, and the procession will move from Trgovačka Street through Narodni trg to Župni trg. Entertainment programs begin at 21:00. Dražen Zečić performs on the center stage at Narodni trg, where the audience will also be entertained by the Remix band. Duo Magnolia plays at Župni trg, while Anelidi will make the audience dance at Trg Slobode, near the city market. DJ Nikola z Kukurini is in charge of keeping the mood in the City Park. We end the week in Peroj, where on Sunday, 9. August, a concert will be held by the Boo Bunnies music band. It starts at 9:00 PM.
