The storytelling research laboratory takes place at the Odeon Art Cinema and is led by Maja Gal Štromar and Tanja Plešivčnik Zelenko. Space contains everything we need for a story. Space speaks through our bodies, and the body returns the story back to space. When you walk through it, it speaks to you, sometimes it grabs you, sometimes it welcomes you kindly, and sometimes it drives you away. Every walk through space is a walk through countless, yet untold stories. If you stop, listen, and let your imagination run wild, a story can be born from a tiny feeling, movement, experience, or memory. Through movement, sensory perception, and co-aesthetic play, we will explore the relationships between space, body, and imagination, and look for the seeds of stories that emerge from our experiences. We will continue our research with Maja Gal Štromar, an actress, writer, and theater pedagogue who, with her rich theatrical and storytelling knowledge, will open up space for voice, storytelling, and improvisational plays. We will weave the captured impressions into stories, speak them out, transform them and look for ways to share them with others. The number of places is limited, so registration is required at info.kvart@gmail.com. Participation is free, and voluntary contributions are gratefully accepted. The event is part of the II. Storytelling Minifest, organized by ART KUHA, an incubator for artistic and sustainable practices, and KVART, visual culture and art, in cooperation with JSKD Izola, CKŠP Izola and the Municipality of Izola.
