Dimitrije Popović: Allegory of Identity

On Thursday, August 6, 2026, at the MMC Gallery of the City of Umag (Trg Marije i Line), starting at 8:30 PM, we solemnly open the exhibition "Allegory of Identity" by the renowned artist, painter and writer Dimitrije Popović. The exhibition remains open until August 29, 2026. We present a selection of works by this well-known and prolific author — three graphic portfolios signed by painter and writer Dimitrije Popović. Although the author uses varied, sometimes universal symbolism, the works are thematically and formally tied to the location of his origin. This exhibition offers a look at three collections dedicated to the artist's homeland, Montenegro.
