Zabranjeno pušenje as #NEUŠTEKANI in Pula – first time under the stars – July 18, 2026 After sold-out concerts in Sarajevo, Ljubljana, Zagreb, Belgrade, Zadar, Osijek and Split, the legendary band arrives in Pula with its acoustic lineup, where on July 18, 2026, they will perform in the magical setting of Pula’s Small Roman Theatre. The audience can expect an unforgettable evening: Zabranjeno pušenje will perform as Neuštekani outdoors for the very first time. On Saturday, July 18, one of the region’s longest-lasting and most beloved bands brings its acoustic program in a more intimate and emotional form. Famous hits will receive a new interpretation – stripped down, honest and closer than ever, with an emphasis on storytelling, emotion and a direct connection with the audience. This concert will be further enriched by the performance of a string quartet, giving the well-known songs a new, luxurious and almost cinematic dimension. It is precisely this combination of raw acoustics and elegant strings that makes Neuštekani a unique musical experience that captivates from the very first note. Pula will have the honor of hosting the first open-air edition of Neuštekani, set against an authentic Mediterranean backdrop that promises a night to remember. The legendary band, which in 2024 marked the 40th anniversary of the cult album Das Ist Walter, has once again shown through the “Neuštekani” project that it is “forever young” and ready for new challenges. With this project, Sejo Sexon wanted, as he says, “to correct an injustice and finally perform live songs that many audiences are hearing on stage for the very first time.” The project presents Zabranjeno pušenje in an unplugged version, using acoustic instruments, focused on storytelling and heartfelt emotion. Alongside previously undiscovered material, the audience in Pula will also hear short stories about the creation and early days of Zabranjeno pušenje, as well as songs that have never before been performed live, such as “Pismo Elvisu,” “Laku noć, stari,” “Arizona Dream,” “Nema više,” and “Kad dernek utihne”... The virtuoso performance of the band, which in its “unplugged” version has the opportunity to showcase its full musical mastery, will make even the most famous Zabranjeno pušenje songs, such as “Djevojčica kojima miriše koža,” “Fikreta,” and “Lijepa Alma,” sound slightly different, while the audience will enjoy a unique journey through the long and fruitful career of this group. “Before the first Neuštekani performance in Sarajevo, I had enormous stage fright, as if I were stepping on stage for the first time. After the fantastic concerts in my hometown, and then in Ljubljana, Zagreb, Zadar, Belgrade, Podgorica, Osijek and Split, I can hardly wait to meet the audience in Pula and I’m excited that we’ll have the chance to share this fantastic musical experience with them as well in the Small Roman Theatre,” says Sejo Sexon. If there is one concert to mark in your calendar this summer – this is the one, because some songs simply sound most beautiful when listened to under the open sky. Tickets are available at prices of EUR 33 for the stands and EUR 44 for the parterre, and can be purchased through the ticketing service Entrio.hr. On the day of the concert, tickets will also be available at the entrance to the Small Roman Theatre at prices of EUR 40 for the stands and EUR 50 for the parterre.
