This is Bruno's lucky 13th book, and his first travelogue. In the book, we follow him on an adventure from his wildest dreams – hiking the Pacific Crest Trail. 135 days and 4482 km from Mexico to Canada through the beautiful wilderness of the USA. The greatest challenge was the extreme weather conditions, separation from his family, as well as encounters with wild animals, primarily bears and rattlesnakes. Although Bruno also writes in the book that wild people give him more problems than wild animals. The trail leads through the desert of southern California and over the huge massifs of the Sierra Nevada, where you climb over 4000 meters. Then comes the fire-ravaged areas of northern California and Oregon, before ending in the beautiful and demanding state of Washington, full of surprises. He started with days of 30-35 km of walking, and ended with 50 km in a day. But this is not a story about numbers. But about dreams. Which do not like to be kept waiting. And whatever your dreams are, we hope that the book will inspire you to move towards them. Step by step. Day by day. Dream by dream. Because dreams are meant to be lived! Bruno Šimleša is a husband and father, sociologist, TV presenter, lecturer and author of 13 books in the field of popular psychology and spirituality, which have sold more than 300,000 copies in Croatia and the region. The books School of Life and Loveology have also been published in Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Albania, and the first Slovak edition of Loveology is currently expected. His most recent books (P)ostati zdrav and A što kad neko naš razbola address the relationship between the mind and the body. The first explains how our thoughts, emotions and relationships affect health, and the second how to be a real support to our loved ones when they are struggling for health, although the advice will be useful in all life crises. In the Heart of the Wild is his first travel book in which he describes his experiences on a phenomenal walking adventure from Mexico to Canada, which took him 135 days and covered 4,482 km.
