Theatre performance: MALO BLAGO (Teatar EXIT)

THURSDAY, 8 OCTOBER 2026, AT 8:00 PM, ANTONIO GANDUSIO THEATRE Theatre performance: MALO BLAGO (Little Treasure) Production: Teatar EXIT Text: Elaine Murphy Director: Lea Anastazija Flegar Cast: Mirela Brekalo, Jelena Miholjević, Anja Jogunica Running time: 90 minutes About the performance: Based on the text by the acclaimed Irish playwright Elaine Murphy, Malo blago is an emotional, honest and multi-layered story about three generations of women – a grandmother, a mother and a daughter – facing the challenges of everyday life without a male presence. Through humorous yet touching moments, the play reveals their bond, strength, weaknesses and how they adapt to the changes that life brings them. The grandmother, the only one with a stable partner, tries to understand and support her daughter and granddaughter as they struggle with emotional turbulence, professional pressures and personal dilemmas. Each of them carries her own burden – losses, insecurities and hopes – while all try to protect what matters most: their love for one another and family closeness. Through their intertwined stories, Elaine Murphy masterfully portrays the reality of the modern woman, torn between society's expectations and her own needs. With great warmth and humour, the text explores how different generations of women deal with changes in relationships, family obligations and the roles they take on, often unconsciously shaped by the legacy of earlier generations. This emotional and at the same time entertaining play will move the audience with its universality and sincerity, giving viewers the chance to recognise themselves in the struggles and victories of its heroines. The production is directed by Lea Anastazija Flegar, while the cast is led by the experienced and versatile actresses Mirela Brekalo, Jelena Miholjević and Anja Jogunica. Malo Blago is not just a piece of theatre – it is a warm, true-to-life story about love, loss and the strength of family ties that is sure to leave a strong impression on audiences. A.
