The workshop takes place at Rojc. You will learn about the development of the photographic medium, with a special part of the workshop dedicated to light and photographic composition, the characteristics and sources of light, colour temperature and white balance, working with light in different conditions and the basic rules of composition. You will learn the basics of working with an analogue camera, get to know different types of cameras and film, how a camera works, lenses, aperture and f-number, shutter speed, exposure, focus, depth of field and ISO sensitivity. The workshop is led by Hassan Abdelghani and Robert Fedel, who will guide you through the process of creating a photograph — from choosing a motif and shooting to developing the film and making a print in the darkroom — through a combination of theory, hands-on work and shared reflection on photography.
