Liburnia Film Festival

The 24th Liburnia Film Festival will take place from 25 to 29 August 2026 in Opatija. This year's LFF brings 21 films competing for eight festival awards, including 10 premiere titles, plus another 11 films in the accompanying programme and a rich supporting and educational content. The festival opens with the Croatian premiere of "Leave This Room Buried" by Iva Kraljević, and closes with "Yugo Goes to America". Programme highlights also include the case study "How the Peacemaker Was Tempered" and the panel "De/militarization of Society", bringing together experts in peace studies, social transformation, journalism and the arts. Full 5-day festival ticket: €12. Daily ticket: €4. Tickets are available at the Opatija Festival office at the Summer Stage on weekdays from 8am to 3pm, online via mojekarte.hr, and at their sales points. On programme days, the box office at the entrance to the Small Summer Stage, from the direction of Angiolina Park, opens one hour before the first screening.
