Vojni rok (Military Service)

What happens when the alpha generation marches into the barracks – kids used to yoga, protein shakes, detox juices, algorithms and digital fame – and are met by a new breed of sergeants, just as confused in the world of influencers as in the world of discipline and early-morning drills? The play "Vojni rok" (Military Service) wittily, ironically and hyper-excitingly dissects the idea of reintroducing compulsory military service. On stage, strictness meets mindful breathing, strict hierarchy meets TikTok challenges, and the boundaries of theatre dissolve through play, interaction and satire. Text: Leon Zrile.
