Libertas opening: exhibitions “tu pri nas – libertas / tutto qua – libertà” and “Fracture Point”

Libertas is a freedom worth celebrating and spreading! The programme of the new venue opens on Friday, 9 October at 8:00 PM in the gallery with the exhibition “tu pri nas – libertas / tutto qua – libertà / join us – libertas”, in tune with the fundamental mission of the crossroads of cultures. The Small Hall of Libertas opens with an audiovisual installation by internationally acclaimed artist Tadej Droljc, “Fracture Point”. The gallery will be christened with works by local artists of different nationalities and poetics, all under 50: Timofiiy Belsky, Henrike von Dewitz, Simon Kocjančič, Matej Kocjan, Lara Jeranko Marconi, Paride di Stefano, Katja Smerdu, Francisco Tomsich, Marko Zelenko, Martin Zelenko, Tilen Žbona, Ana Žerjal, Gregor Žitko. Libertas stages the exhibition in cooperation with the Insula Society of Visual Artists from Izola; curator: Dejan Mehmedovič. On view until 29 October. The audiovisual installation “Fracture Point” explores the aesthetics of the concentration of power within complex generative systems, inspired by political, social and media dynamics. Laser structures embody superior power, an external force that at times directly influences the genesis of a new digital world and at times drowns and dissolves in it.
