Olive Oil Show of Eastern Istria

Lovers of olive oil, local specialities, wine and good music, save the date! The Olive Oil Show of Eastern Istria takes place on Saturday, 28 November 2026 in Sveta Katarina, at the community and fire-brigade hall, with a large heated tent and a full-day programme. Visitors can look forward to a chicken šug cooking competition, tastings, educational talks, a mushroom exhibition and much more. The evening is rounded off with music and entertainment by Mauro Staraj & La Banda. PROGRAMME 12:00–15:00 – Chicken šug cooking competition 15:00–18:00 – Chicken šug tasting 15:00–18:00 – Collection of wine samples for the tasting 16:00 – Educational talks 18:00 – Olive oil and wine tasting with live music 19:00 – Performance by the Pićan majorettes and the KUD "Ivan Fonović Zlatela" Kršan folklore society 20:00 – DJ Nikola Z Kukurini 22:00 – Announcement of the show's winners After the winners are announced, the party continues with Mauro Staraj & La Banda!
