Imprints on the Stage: Exhibition for the 60th Anniversary of the Istrian Folk Music and Dance Festival 📅 Thursday, 26 November 2026 at 6:00 PM 📍 Pazin Castle 🏛️ Ethnographic Museum of Istria – EMI-MEI 🖼️ Exhibition opening ✍️ Authors: Ivona Orlić and Noel Šuran For six decades the Istrian Folk Music and Dance Festival has been a living monument to the intangible cultural heritage of Istria and the whole of Croatia. The exhibition Imprints on the Stage revives memories of the many performers, organisers and events that have marked this festival. At the same time it directs attention to its relevance and future and critically questions folklore and folklorism on the stage. Visitors will have the opportunity to view the significance of the festival through its long history, the people who shaped it and its role in preserving and presenting tradition. Thursdays at the Museum – Autumn Cycle 2026 (Ethnographic Museum of Istria – Museo etnografico dell’Istria and Pazin City Museum). Admission to all events is free.
